Enabling The Task Manager
If you are a user that is listed in the hierarchy (Group, Account Manager, Business Partner or Partner Rep) and you don’t see ‘My Tasks’ in the list of shortcuts on the right hand side of the home page, then the labels for the Task Manager have been suppressed.
To enable the Task Manager labels click on Admin / Customize Pages / Home Page and enable the ‘My Tasks’ label.
Tasks are associated with a specific record and as such can only be assigned to the Group, Account Manager, Partner or Partner rep associated with the record.
In addition to activating the label you’ll also want to create the email notification content for assigned tasks – click on Admin / Email Notification Content. There are two templates that need to be customized for your use - Task Assignment Notification for Email and Text Messaging.
